This Is A Stupid Great Deal (+ EXCLUSIVE CONTENT)

cover-power-pack-final-yellow-DAVE ORIGINAL copyYou probably already know about the Indie Author Power Pack.
This post is just in case you didn’t.
The Power Pack is an insanely good deal: three of the best indie author books on the market (Write. Publish. Repeat., Let’s Get Digital, and How to Market a Book), available in a (LIMITED TIME) bundle for a stupid low price (.99).
The Power Pack also comes with an exclusive hour long chat among David G., Joanna, Johnny, and myself.
That chat is available in video, audio, and transcription.
WOW, right?
In case you’re wondering why we would bundle something so insanely low (if you’re doing the math, that’s about .30 split between five people per sale), and include brand new never before available content along with the stupid low purchase price, it’s because we’re making a play for the NY Times Bestseller List.
If you listened to last Friday’s podcast, then you know this already. If not, here’s the skinny.
If we sell enough copies of the bundle this week (especially on Barnes & Noble), we’ll earn a spot on the NY Times Bestsellers list. That’s like winning an Academy Award. We all know amazing things will happen after that.
My nose will shrink, Dave will lose like a hundred pounds, and Johnny’s abs will get abbier.

You probably have one or all of these books already, but a buck is a great way to say thank you if you love what any of the five of us do. If you’re not familiar with the books, here’s a primer:
WRITE. PUBLISH. REPEAT.: The No-Luck-Required Guide to Self-Publishing Success – Sean Platt, Johnny B. Truant, and David Wright

In 2013, Johnny B. Truant and Sean Platt published 1.5 million words and made their full-time livings as indie authors. In WRITE. PUBLISH. REPEAT., they tell you exactly how they did it: how they created over 15 independent franchises across 50+ published works, how they turned their art into a logical, sustainable business, and how any independent author can do the same to build a sustainable, profitable, future-proof career with their writing.
LET’S GET DIGITAL: How To Self-Publish, And Why You Should – David Gaughran

The internet has revolutionized every business it has come into contact with, and publishing is no different. These changes are handing power back to the writer. It’s up to YOU if you want to profit from them. With practical, hands-on publishing advice; best practices on editing, cover design, formatting, and pricing; and effective marketing strategies that won’t eat into your writing time or budget. And that’s just for starters…
HOW TO MARKET A BOOK:  Joanna Penn

Get to grips with marketing! Learn the values and marketing principles that will help your long-term career as a writer and encourage you to think more like an entrepreneur, while using short-term tactics to kick up immediate sales. Includes recommendations for branding, content marketing, social networking and working with the media. With methods to take you beyond the book into professional speaking, making money from other products and creating new opportunities.
A buck is worth it for the books, worth it for the exclusive interview video, audio, and transcripts, and worth it as a great way to give the indie community a giant high-five.

Pre-ordered this when you sent the first e-mail, and sent it as a gift to an American friend, who’s self-publishing children’s books when it went live on Amazon. Even though it’s not directly aimed at that specific target, there’s a lot to take away from WPR anyway. I haven’t read the others yet, but I’m sure it’ll be the same for them.
She has started reading WPR (because I suggested that she read that one first), and so far she is happy reading it. Hope she’ll be able to pick up a bit of what I have from following you guys.
Hope you’ll make it to the NYT bestseller list, and get that title to add to your blurbs and covers. That would be awesome!

Ordered from B&N *AND* Kobo. Anything to chip away at the bias on these lists. I tried a similar experiment with pre-orders for Time’s Edge when it came out a few weeks back, hoping we rack up enough print sales from other vendors to hit the USA Today list, even though digital sales of the series are exclusively on Kindle.
No luck- but there *were* enough pre-orders across the board to hit the top 10 on the Wall Street Journal fiction e-book list. That’s telling just how strong the bias is–enough sales to hit the top 10 on the WSJ, but not the top 150 on USAToday.
    Hope you guys make it!!!
